All You Need to Know About JAMB Regularization 2025/2026

JAMB regularization is the only way to obtain your JAMB admission letter in 2025.

It would be recalled that in 2024, JAMB declared that all admissions into tertiary institutions in Nigeria must be processed through the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS).

JAMB said it would no longer condone any illegal or irregular admission conducted by any tertiary institution.

According to JAMB, admissions to first degree, ND, HND, and NCE, including full-time, part-time, distance learning, outreach, sandwich, among others, must be processed ONLY through JAMB CAPS.

Despite this warning, JAMB regularization is still Ongoing, and the board has not yet shut down the regularization portal.

You can still apply for JAMB regularization in 2025 or obtain the form online.

10.	Service fee of Five Thousand Naira (N5,000)

How to Do JAMB Regularization 2025/2026

Here is how to do JAMB regularization in 2025:

1. Walk into any JAMB office near you
2. Ensure you have all the necessary details and documents listed above.
3. Tell the JAMB official that you want to do JAMB regularization.
4. You’ll be required to pay the regularization processing fee
5. The JAMB official will verify your details and begin the regularization process.
6. Ensure your details are accurate before the JAMB official proceeds with the application.
7. Once your indemnity form is completed, a printout will be issued to you.
8. Ensure the regularization printout is signed and stamped by the JAMB official.
9. Submit the signed printout to your school’s admission office for further processing.

You may be required to pay a fee of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000) at the admission office.

Your school’s admission officer will forward the form to JAMB state office or JAMB headquarters in Abuja.

Once your regularization process is APPROVED, JAMB will send an admission notification to your email.

Reasons for JAMB Regularization

Here is why JAMB Regularization is Necessary:

1. If your admission is ILLEGAL, JAMB regularization is the only way to LEGALISE it.
2. By doing JAMB regularization, you can get your JAMB admission letter if offered admission outside the JAMB CAPS portal. 
3. Through JAMB regularisation, you can get an admission letter from JAMB if you don’t have one.
4. If you didn’t upload your O’level results to JAMB CAPS portal before or after gaining admission, your details may not match JAMB’s records, which can only be corrected through JAMB regularisation.
5. If you were admitted into a course different from what you originally applied for and did not update your course on JAMB CAPS, you may encounter issues that necessitate regularization.

How to Check JAMB Regularization Admission Status 2025/2026

Here is how to check JAMB regularization status in 2025:

• Visit JAMB regularization admission status checker at www.efacility.jamb.gov.ng.
• Log in using your JAMB email and Password.
• Click “Check Admission Status” to see if you have been offered admission.

If you have been offered a provisional admission, proceed to print your JAMB Admission Letter and check if your name is on the JAMB Matriculation List, which is the last stage of the whole exercise.
