The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has made it clear that it has no connection to a fraudulent bank account being used to trick people.
According to a statement from JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, the account number 8520641017 at Sterling Bank is linked to a scam named “Copyrightwriter Personal J Rescheduling Flw. ”
This account is used to cheat unsuspecting candidates who could not sit for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
JAMB has warned that some dishonest individuals are asking for N15,700, claiming to reschedule missed exams.
“We issue this urgent notice to inform the public about this sneaky scheme targeting candidates who couldn’t take part in the UTME,” the statement explained.
