JAMB Withheld 2025 UTME Results of 39,834 Candidates who took part in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), citing serious infractions including impersonation, biometric fraud, and exam malpractice.
According to JAMB Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, the withheld results are part of a broader effort to protect the integrity of Nigeria’s central university entrance examination system.
“The 2025 UTME revealed several systemic issues in the registration and examination processes, especially involving identity and biometric fraud.
These are unacceptable, and we must address them head-on,” Oloyede said at a press briefing held on Friday.

Reasons for Withheld UTME Results
JAMB explained that the major infractions fell into several categories:
Over 3,656 candidates were found to have “extraneous fingerprints” during registration, a clear indicator of attempts at impersonation or multiple registrations.
The Board noted that some CBT centres colluded with candidates to manipulate registration data.
A total of 244 candidates subscribed to online groups promising leaked questions and answers.
These results have also been withheld to discourage exam malpractice.
JAMB discovered several instances of double registration and attempted substitution by candidates, in collusion with some registration centres.
Several candidates were found to have used agents or proxies during registration, some facilitated by CBT centres.
CBT Centres Under Investigation
JAMB has identified and placed the following centres under scrutiny:
- Tigh Technologies Ltd., Abuja
- Sascon International School, Maitama, Abuja
- Wudil Computer Information Tech, Kano
- Penta M & Centre 2, Tambuwal, Sokoto
Additionally, four CBT centres have already been blacklisted for poor technical delivery and other failures:
- Adventure Associate, Kano
- Saadatu Rimi College of Education, Zaria
- Soronara Ventures Nigeria Ltd., Imo
- HSS Amazing, Ogun State
JAMB reaffirmed its dedication to inclusive education.
Despite challenges, JAMB has described the 2025 UTME as one of the most successful editions in recent years, with improved monitoring and stricter enforcement measures.
Prof. Oloyede concluded by saying,
“We will continue to innovate and tighten our systems to ensure credibility in public examinations.
The future of our education system depends on it.”
